HOW OUR TECHNOLOGY WORKS

Kismet’s technology uses a naturally occurring mineral, Cerium Oxide, that can be synthesized to produce hydrogen peroxide in the presence of pathogens. Our ingredients have now evolved to include Chitosan, unleashing its known antimicrobial properties in a specialized formulation. 

Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful disinfectant due to its strong oxidizing properties. It has broad-spectrum efficacy against a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. In addition, it is non-toxic in its pure form, decomposing into water and oxygen.

Chitosan-Enabled

Our specialized formulation is enabled by chitosan, a naturally occurring biopolymer. The chitosan is formulated with cerium oxide, a mineral. Chitosan provides a sustainable and versatile antimicrobial ingredient. The EPA has designated chitosan a minimum-risk pesticide.

Silver-Enabled

Silver-enabled cerium oxide is an innovative and safe mixture. The role of the silver is to boost the production of hydrogen peroxide when microbes are present in the specially synthesized particles available in water or an organic solvent.

Pure Mineral

Our cerium oxide particles are effective oxidizers. The cerium oxide particles can be mixed in a variety of solvents, including heptane, ethanol, and mineral spirits. The cerium oxide particles in different solvents allow for integration into a vast array of substrates providing a versatile antimicrobial* ingredient.
